ARTIST STATEMENT Jacquelyn Blue I am primarily a California plein air painter working in both pastel and oil. I graduated with honors from California State University with a degree in Art History and am past president of the Los Angeles Art Core and the Malibu Art Association. I have completed workshops with Richard McKinley, Kim Lordier and Maggi Price in pastel; Ken Backhaus and Debra Huse in oil. I have been included in many juried shows and am especially proud of showing my art at the Vacaville Museum and the Triton Museum through the Pastel Society of the West Coast. I am also a signature member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, a member of the California Art Club and Oil Painters of America.
